Cronus Zen Mouse and Keyboard Setup Guide

Set up mouse and keyboard with Cronus Zen, understand native versus emulated input, wire A1/A2/A3 correctly, and fix detection issues.

Applies to: Mouse, Keyboard, Console input, Cronus Zen

Native input versus emulated input

Native mouse and keyboard means the game receives mouse and keyboard input directly. Emulated input means the Zen translates mouse and keyboard movement into controller-style input.

Most Cronus Zen mouse and keyboard setups use emulated input, so tuning sensitivity, deadzones, and key mapping matters.

If mouse or keyboard is not detected

  1. Use wired USB devices or the manufacturer's USB dongle. Bluetooth mouse and keyboard devices are usually not supported.
  2. Avoid USB hubs during initial setup.
  3. Check device detection in Zen Studio Live before testing in-game.
  4. Some keyboards need BIOS mode or their secondary USB cable connected.

FAQ

Can I use Bluetooth mouse and keyboard?

Use USB or the device's own USB dongle. Generic Bluetooth mouse and keyboard support is unreliable.

Why are my inputs going to the PC instead of console?

Once connected to the Zen, the mouse and keyboard are part of the Zen input chain. Use a second set or a USB switch if you need to control the PC too.
