How to Connect Cronus Zen to PS5 with USB

Connect Cronus Zen to PlayStation 5 natively over USB using the correct PS5 communication setting, bypass sequence, and left-side Zen port.

Prepare the PS5 for a USB connection

Disconnect every other USB device from the PS5 before beginning. Use reliable data-capable cables and start with the controller disconnected from the Zen.

  1. Open PS5 Settings, then Accessories, Controller, and Communication Method.
  2. Select Use USB Cable.
  3. Return to the Accessories screen and hover over Turn Off Accessories without selecting it yet.
Identify the rear console connection and the left controller port before starting the sequence.

Complete the PS5 bypass connection sequence

Keep the order below exact. If the prompt or connection does not register, disconnect everything and repeat from the beginning.

  1. While hovering over Turn Off Accessories, press and hold Right on the controller D-pad.
  2. Keep holding Right and plug the Zen's top console cable into the PS5.
  3. Wait for the connection prompt to register.
  4. Connect the controller to the left-side USB port on the Zen.
  5. Finish the on-screen connection sequence, then test normal controller input before loading a script.
